Belloumi capitalised on a defensive blunder from Jorrel Hato to level proceedings at Stamford Bridge. The Ductchman misjudged the flight of a cross and allowed the ball to bounce over his own head before the Algerian smashed home for the 28th-minute equaliser.

Belloumi then put them 2-1 up with a deflected shot off Levi Colwill. The goal came less than a minute after Lewie Coyle had gone close for Hull City as the visitors hit attacking gear.
Ollie McBurnie had the chance to extend the visitors’ lead but failed to cleanly sidefoot the ball past Emiliano Martínez’s outstretched foot after the goalkeeper unsuccessfully gathered a shot at goal.
The miss proved critical as the English Premier League Player of the Month for August, Brazilian João Pedro, got the equaliser for Xabi Alonso’s team.
The tied outcome marks the first league clash where Alonso has picked up maximum points while also avoiding defeat. The outcome following the last week’s 2-1 loss to Arsenal marks a consecutive match the Blues have dropped points.
