For now, here is a look at the confirmed business involving Arsenal’s men’s first team after Tuesday, September 1, 2026 Premier League transfer deadline-day.
Arsenal’s new signings
Arsenal have strengthened several areas of their squad with five additions so far.
1. Bruno Guimaraes – Newcastle United
The Gunners have signed Brazilian midfielder Bruno Guimaraes from Newcastle United, although the transfer fee has not been disclosed.
Guimaraes adds further quality and experience to Arsenal’s midfield and arrives after establishing himself as an important player at Newcastle.
2. Piero Hincapie – Bayer Leverkusen
Arsenal have also secured Piero Hincapie from Bayer Leverkusen on a permanent deal.
The Ecuadorian defender provides additional defensive depth and versatility, having been capable of operating both centrally and on the left side of defence.
3. Ezri Konsa – Aston Villa
Ezri Konsa has joined Arsenal from Aston Villa in another undisclosed-fee transfer.
The England international gives Arsenal another experienced option in central defence as the club looks to maintain competition for places at the back.
4. Illan Meslier – Leeds United
Goalkeeper Illan Meslier has arrived from Leeds United on a free transfer.
His move gives Arsenal additional depth between the posts and provides another option for the club’s goalkeeping department.
5. Christos Tzolis – Club Brugge
Arsenal have completed the signing of Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, with the transfer fee again undisclosed.
The forward adds another attacking option to the squad as Arsenal continue to build greater depth across their frontline.
Players who have left Arsenal
Alongside their incoming deals, Arsenal have overseen a significant number of departures.
1. Karl Hein – Werder Bremen
Goalkeeper Karl Hein has left Arsenal to join Werder Bremen on a permanent transfer.
2. Jakub Kiwior – Porto
Defender Jakub Kiwior has completed a permanent move to Portuguese side Porto.
3. Christian Norgaard – Everton
Midfielder Christian Norgaard has departed the Emirates for Everton in an undisclosed transfer.
4. Leandro Trossard – Besiktas
Belgian forward Leandro Trossard has left Arsenal for Turkish club Besiktas.
Trossard’s departure brings an end to his spell in north London after providing Arsenal with an important attacking option in recent seasons.
5. Reiss Nelson – Released
Reiss Nelson has been released by Arsenal following his time with the club.
The academy graduate made his way through Arsenal’s youth system before featuring for the senior team and spending periods away from the club on loan.
6. Fabio Vieira – Hamburg
Fabio Vieira has completed a permanent transfer to Hamburg, with the financial details of the deal undisclosed.
The Portuguese midfielder joined Arsenal with considerable expectations but has now moved on as the Gunners continue to reshape their squad.
7. Gabriel Jesus – Barcelona
Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus has also departed Arsenal after completing an undisclosed transfer to Barcelona.
His exit represents another major change to Arsenal’s attacking options heading into the new campaign.
8. Ethan Nwaneri – Borussia Dortmund
One of Arsenal’s young talents, Ethan Nwaneri, has moved to Borussia Dortmund on loan.
The temporary switch is designed to give the highly rated midfielder further senior experience and regular competitive football.
9. Tommy Setford – Stevenage
Goalkeeper Tommy Setford has joined Stevenage on loan as Arsenal continue to provide opportunities for their younger players to develop away from the Emirates.
