Leandro Trossard has completed a permanent switch to Turkish Süper Lig outfit Beşiktaş, ending his time with Arsenal, the Premier League winners have confirmed.

The Belgian winger arrived at the Emirates from Brighton & Hove Albion in January 2023 and went on to feature 174 times across all competitions, registering 36 goals and 34 assists during his spell with the Gunners.

Trossard’s football journey

Trossard began his football journey at Genk after joining the club’s academy in 2010. He later earned promotion to the senior side, where he made 120 appearances. Along the way, he also gained first-team experience through loan spells at Lommel United, Westerlo and OH Leuven.

He moved to Brighton in June 2019 and soon became an integral part of the Premier League side. Across his time with the Seagulls, he played 121 matches, scored 25 goals and set up another 15 before sealing his transfer to Arsenal.

His first full campaign in north London opened with a trophy as he netted a dramatic stoppage-time equaliser against Manchester City in the 2023 Community Shield, helping Arsenal claim a 4-1 penalty shootout victory at Wembley. Over the next three years, he delivered several important performances, with perhaps his most memorable contribution being the lone goal in a 1-0 away win over West Ham United, a result that played a crucial role in Arsenal’s historic Premier League title success in the 2025/26 season.

International front

On the international front, Trossard has been a regular for Belgium, collecting 57 senior appearances and scoring 14 goals while representing his country at four major tournaments. He was part of the Red Devils that participated at the ongoing FIFA World Cup 2026 hosted in the United States of America, Canada and Mexico.

Arsenal have expressed their gratitude to Trossard for his commitment and contributions during his time at the club and wished him every success in the next chapter of his career.
