‘We are coming back for more’ – Declan Rice declares Arsenal’s intentions for next season
England and Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice has ambitiously revealed the Gunners’ intention of staking their dominance, stressing that the club will be coming for more trophies in the next campaign.
In a precise statement on Sunday, May 31, 2026, during the Gunners’ English Premier League trophy parade, Rice stressed that Mikel Arteta’s side will be coming back for more after snapping a 22-year wait for the English domestic title in the 2025/26 season.
UEFA team of the season
Rice, who, along with David Raya and Gabriel, has all been named in UEFA’s Champions League Team of the Season after Arsenal’s run to the final, believes the club is not yet done.
He specifically hailed the huge turnout and the buzz created during the team’s trophy parade.
“I love this team. I love this manager. To see the joy we can give people is crazy. Next year, we’re coming back for more,” the English midfielder said.
That event saw record numbers of fans and supporters turn up to watch the London club display a Premier League trophy in over two decades.

The celebrations were notably bittersweet, coming just two days after Arsenal saw their push for historic double silverware end in disappointment with a penalty shootout loss to PSG in the UEFA Champions League final in Budapest, Hungary, on Saturday, May 30, 2026.
According to football journalist Fabrizio Romano, the Metropolitan Police confirmed that Arsenal’s parade was the biggest ever parade held in the country, with over 1.5 million people estimated to have participated.
Meanwhile, the Champions League defeat saw Arsenal fail to bag a first European crown, having reached the final for the first time since 2006 when they lost to Barcelona with a 2-1 score line.
