CECAFA Kagame Cup: Who will Gor Mahia face in the semi-final?

Having locked down top spot in Group A, Gor Mahia will face whichever team emerges victorious from Group C. The decisive clash pits Al Hilal against Rayon Sports club this Saturday, August 1, 2026, at the Amahoro Stadium.
Meanwhile, Group B winners Jamus SC are slated to clash with the best second-placed team across all groups to complete the semifinal lineup.
Friday, July 31, 2026, action in Group B confirmed South Sudanese side Jamus SC as group leaders following a 2-1 comeback victory against Mogadishu City Club at the Kigali Pele Stadium, with Kenyan forward Joseph Waithira featuring in their lineup.
In the other Group B fixture, Simba SC secured a win over 2025 champions Singida Black Stars FC at the Amahoro Stadium.
However, the result meant both Tanzanian sides bowed out of the tournament, as Simba’s five points and Singida’s four points were insufficient to qualify for the knockout stage among the best runners-up.
Group C top table decider
Attention now shifts to Saturday’s pivotal Group C clash between Sudanese powerhouses Al Hilal SC and Rwandan hosts Rayon Sports FC to determine the final tournament pairings.

Both teams enter the match holding perfect winning records. Al Hilal opened their campaign with a 2-0 victory against Tusker FC before cruising to a 4-0 win over Zanzibar’s KVZ FC. Home side Rayon Sport FC also edged Tusker FC from Kenya 1-0 with Atisso Kodjo scoring the lone goal in the clash pitting the two.
A victory for Al Hilal in this decider would seal their place at the top of Group C to set up a semifinal clash against Gor Mahia, while simultaneously eliminating Rayon Sports and sending Vipers SC through to the final four as the best second-placed team.
Prize money
Beyond regional bragging rights, the remaining contenders are competing for substantial financial rewards.
The ultimate tournament champions will walk away with Ksh3M in prize money. The runners-up will collect Ksh2M while the team that finishes in third place will be awarded a million for their efforts
