Mid-table clubs Bandari and Kakamega Homeboyz stepped up their quest for improved league finishes with crucial victories against Bidco United and Posta Rangers, respectively, in FKF Premier League ties played on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

At the Kasarani Annex, Patrick Odhiambo’s visiting team scored twice to move two points up the log into fifth place. Homeboyz approached the tie eyeing a win to leapfrog rivals Murang’a Seal and Tusker FC.

An unfortunate own goal, forced by a Potiphar Odhiambo strike in the 35th minute, gave the team a positive start. The win was guaranteed late on as former Gor Mahia man Rodgers Ouma headed home Eston Omengo’s pinpoint set-piece delivery to seal the victory.

The Kakamega-based team is now ranked fifth with 39 points, just one point below third-placed Shabana FC, who will host Murang’a Seal in a decisive clash on Sunday, March 29, 2026, at the Gusii Stadium.

Bandari’s turnaround

Meanwhile, the turnaround at Bandari under coach Bernard Mwalala continued as the team returned to winning ways with a hard-fought 1-0 victory over Bidco United.

The win sent Bandari climbing the log to eighth on 34 points, level with KCB.
