List of areas to be affected by blackout on Friday
By Ascah Mwango, December 11, 2025Kenya Power has announced a temporary power outage that is expected to affect parts of Nandi County on Friday, December 12, 2025.
In a notice released on Thursday, December 11, 2025, the utility company said the planned blackout is part of routine maintenance work.
“Good afternoon, please note that the following areas will be on planned maintenance tomorrow, Friday, 12.12.2025,” Kenya Power stated.
According to the notice released on Thursday, December 11, 2025, the outage will affect the North Rift region, particularly around the Koyo Tea Factory area. The affected locations include Koyo Market, Koyo Tea Factory, Koimet, Kundos Village, and surrounding communities. The blackout is scheduled to start at 9:00 am and end at 6:00 pm.
Kenya Power urged residents and businesses in the affected areas to make necessary preparations.
