KWS warns against fraudulent recruitment links circulating online
By Ascah Mwango, January 15, 2026The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) has flagged a fake recruitment link circulating online and on social media, which falsely claims to advertise job opportunities with the Service.
In a statement posted on X on Wednesday, January 15, 2026, KWS confirmed that the link is fraudulent and has no connection to its official recruitment process. The Service advised the public not to click on the link, share personal information, or make any payments in response to such messages.
“The Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) wishes to alert members of the public to a fake recruitment link currently circulating online and on social media platforms, falsely claiming to advertise KWS recruitment opportunities. The Service clarifies that this link is fraudulent and is not associated with KWS.
Members of the public are strongly advised not to click on the link, share personal information, or make any payments in response to such messages,” KWS stated.

It emphasised that all legitimate recruitment exercises are shared only through official KWS channels, including its website, verified social media accounts, and mainstream media outlets.
Members of the public are also encouraged to report any suspicious recruitment-related links or messages to the relevant authorities. KWS said the alert is part of its ongoing efforts to protect job seekers from online scams and to ensure access to accurate information about employment opportunities.
“KWS emphasises that all official recruitment exercises are communicated through the Service’s official channels, including the KWS website and verified social media platforms, as well as through mainstream media. The public is encouraged to rely only on these official sources for accurate information and to report any suspicious recruitment-related links or messages to the relevant authorities.”
