Murang’a Seal spurn 2-goal lead in thrilling defeat to Nairobi United
By Luke Oluoch, April 19, 2026Murang’a Seal’s struggles in the FKF Premier League continued as they fell to a resilient Nairobi United in a high-scoring Sunday encounter in Nairobi.
Despite an early advantage, Seal surrendered a two-goal lead to slump to a 4-2 loss in a match defined by Michael Karamor’s sensational first-half hat-trick.
Tale of two halves
Murang’a Seal, who recently announced changes to their technical bench following Osborne Monday’s departure to Shabana, got off to a perfect start.
Michael Macharia converted from close range past Bernard Jairo to put the visitors 1-0 up. Nairobi United soon found themselves trailing further when the attacker doubled the lead just minutes later.
However, the stunned Naibois fought back in brilliant fashion. Michael Karamor took the game by the scruff of the neck to orchestrate a complete first-half turnaround.

The burly forward began the comeback in the 26th minute, reducing the deficit with a powerful strike that shifted the game’s momentum. Just four minutes later,
Karamor was at it again, grabbing a clinical equaliser to restore parity and stun the opposition. He wasn’t finished, however, before the referee could even whistle for half-time, he struck once more to complete a sensational hat-trick, etching his name into the history books with a clinical display of finishing.
Record Breaker
Karamor became the first player to score a treble inside the opening 30 minutes of a competitive game for the FKF PL newcomers. He joins Nelson Odaya as the only player to score a hat trick for the club.
League Standings Impact
This victory, Nairobi United’s third in their last four games, sent Godfrey Oduor’s side up three places in the standings to sixth position with 42 points, just four shy of fifth-placed Shabana.
In contrast, Dennis Odhiambo’s baptism of fire at Seal kicked off as the team dropped to tenth following a disappointing string of winless outcomes.
