5 biggest mansions built by Kenyan celebs in their rural villages
Some celebs who were born and raised upcountry have built big mansions in villages even though most of them have found new abodes in cities.
Most of the celebs who have put up big mansions in their villages equally own luxurious homes in the cities where they are mostly based.
Below are the celebs who own big mansions in the villages:
Jalang’o
Lang’ata Member of Parliament (MP) Felix Odiwuor alias Jalang’o build his mansion in Gem, Siaya county even before he ventured into politics.
Jalang’o used to his fans an update on his village mansion from the construction phase up to when it was completed and he moved in.




Jaguar
Musician Jaguar, who served as Starehe MP from 2017 to 2022, constructed a massive bungalow in his rural home in Nyeri county.
In a post on August 20, 2021, the former Starehe MP took to social media to share images of his rural mansion, while taking note of his humble beginnings.
“I left my home 13 years ago with no shoes… God’s work #the return,” Jaguar wrote.




Gidi Gidi
Celebrated rapper-cum-radio presenter Joseph Oyoo alias Gidi Gidi built himself a palace in his rural home in Homa Bay county.
Gidi Gidi’s mansion was first seen in photos shared by Jalang’o who visited him in Homa Bay for a function held in honour of his mother.



Gidi rose from a humble background in Dandora to make it big as a rapper in Kenyan showbiz.
He dominated airwaves in the early 2000s with his rap colleague Maji Maji with hit songs like ‘Unbwogable’ ‘Many Faces’ among others.

MCA Tricky
Comedian Francis Munyao, alias MCA Tricky, is putting the final touches to the bungalow he is building in his village.
MCA Tricky’s multimillion mansion is still under construction in Mwala, Machakos county.
The comedian in November 2022 took to social media to show off his bungalow while making a joke about US billionaire Bill Gates who was in Kenya around that time.
“Someone tell Bill Gates my house needs updated Windows!” MCA Tricky joked.



Akothee
Akothee boasts of a palatial mansion in her rural home in Rongo, Migori county.
Unlike most celebs who spend most time in cities, Akothee actually seems to spend more time in her village mansion than at her other property in Mombasa.
Akothee’s Rongo mansion possesses almost all modern facilities ranging from a swimming pool to a jacuzzi, a well-manicured garden among other amenities.
