Simple skincare routine every man can follow
By Cynthia Lodite, July 4, 2026Healthy skin is not just about appearance; it also helps protect your body from dirt, bacteria, and environmental damage.
While skincare routines can seem complicated, taking care of your skin does not have to involve dozens of products.
A few simple steps each day can make a noticeable difference.
Cleanse
Before actually applying your soap, splash warm water on your face. Or even better, take a hot shower to thoroughly clean out your pores.
Cleansing removes sweat, excess oil, dirt, and pollutants that can clog pores and lead to breakouts. Avoid using regular bar soap on your face, as it can strip away natural oils and leave your skin feeling dry.
Avoid using traditional bar soaps on your face the vast majority contain chemicals that are too harsh.
Take your time, lightly rubbing the face wash all over your face and neck in circular motions for about 20-30 seconds.

Do not pull down on your skin; you do not want to expedite the natural occurrence of wrinkles and loose skin.
When you are done, rinse with cool water. This minimises the appearance of pores and prevents new dirt and oil from entering them.
Moisturise Daily
Moisturising keeps your skin hydrated and helps maintain its natural protective barrier.
Even if you have oily skin, do not skip this step; choose a lightweight, oil-free moisturiser. If your skin is dry, opt for a richer cream to lock in moisture.
Apply a dime-sized amount to your entire clean, dry face. This keeps your skin plump, smooth, and bright.
The anti-ageing ingredients in our face moisturiser, including green tea and hyaluronic acid, help prevent wrinkles too.
Shave the right way
Shaving can irritate the skin if done incorrectly. Wash your face with warm water before shaving to soften facial hair.
Use a clean, sharp razor and a quality shaving cream or gel. Shave in the direction your hair grows to reduce irritation and ingrown hairs, then apply an alcohol-free aftershave balm or moisturiser to soothe the skin.
Exfoliate once or twice a week
Exfoliating removes dead skin cells that can build up on the surface of your skin.
This can help prevent clogged pores and leave your face looking smoother and brighter. Avoid over-exfoliating, as it may cause redness or irritation.
