Wanja Nyarari calls out manufactured attacks and paid praise on social media
By Charles Ouma, February 27, 2026Social media personality Wanja Nyarari has called out a growing trend on social media in which bloggers and influencers are paid to bend the truth, attack other people and drive narratives.
In a statement on her social media profiles on Friday, February 27, 2026, Nyarari claimed that the trend leaves many casualties in its wake.
“There has been a trend where people wake up, pay bloggers, mobilise influencers, and orchestrate coordinated attacks to intimidate, blackmail, and extort others, targeting their names, their brands, and their companies,” she stated.

She voiced her concerns that an extortion gang specialising in blackmail is pocketing money from those who fall for the online attacks and opt to buy silence.
Weaponising social media
According to her, particular individuals have made it a habit to weaponise social media and are earning from their underhand dealings.
“They weaponise social media to pressure people for money and control. Watch the pattern. Wait to see those who know the virus maker mentioning the vampire on the comments,” she added.
She observed that in an interesting twist of events, the victim often ends up being a friend of the alleged financier of the social media attack.
According to her, the friendship comes at a cost, with money often changing hands in what is outright blackmail and extortion.
“Anyone who was once heavily attacked and suddenly becomes close friends with the alleged financiers of those attacks understands that kind of friendship is rarely free. At some point, a price was paid,” Nyarari added.
Wanja: I will not part with millions
She predicted an end to the trend, which she described as manufactured attacks and paid praises, noting that those who refuse to give in to the pressure are often attacked constantly.
“Soon, it will be the end of this era of manufactured attacks and paid praise. And the ones you see constantly being attacked? They simply refused to give in.
Confirming her position, the digital content creator asserted that she would never part with a coin to fund bloggers or negotiate with persons involved in such operations.

“I will not part with millions to buy silence. I will not fund bloggers to keep quiet. I will not negotiate with blackmail. You can hire them for a lifetime. You attack me, and I will personally give you my rejoinder unapologetically,” she concluded.
