Celebrated Kenyan musician Wahu Kagwi has shared a heartfelt reflection on motherhood, describing the birth of her third child as the most meaningful experience of her life in her 40s.

Taking to her official Instagram account on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, Wahu shared a lovely photo of her lastborn, Shiru, and expressed deep gratitude and joy, revealing just how transformative the experience has been for her.

“The best thing that’s happened to me in my 40s. God really knew I needed her,” Wahu wrote.

The singer, who has long balanced her music career with family life, spoke candidly about the emotional fulfilment that has come with welcoming another child later in life.

As she embraces this new chapter, Wahu continues to show that motherhood remains one of life’s greatest blessings, no matter the timing, and that sometimes, as she puts it, God truly knows exactly what we need.

Power couple Nameless and Wahu Kagwi welcomed their third child on October 11, 2022.

They shared her cute face in a short video.

Nameless and Wahu shared a video of their newborn daughter, revealing they had named her Shiru. She was named after Nameless’s eldest sister.

They said she would have both African names, just like her siblings.

“This is five minutes after she was born. My first earthly connection with my third-born daughter, Shiru, named after my eldest sister Rosemary, according to Kikuyu tradition. We’ll also give her an African name soon,” Nameless shared.
