Arbantone musician VJ Patelo has revealed that he is planning to relocate from Kenya permanently.

Speaking in a video shared on his TikTok page on Thursday, April 9, 2026, the “Wakudumu” hitmaker disclosed that he has grown tired of staying in Kenya, which is why he has decided to move abroad.

He also mentioned that he will be relocating with someone, although he did not clarify whether the individual is his wife, Diana, or another companion.

The singer further stated that he is ready to leave the country, to those who continue to boast about it, insisting that he no longer feels the need to remain, as he believes he has outgrown it.

“Bye bye, Kenya, Kenya. We are tired of this country, and that is why we are travelling. We are leaving you in your country,” he said.

Diana Bahati collabo

In a separate report, VJ Patelo refuted claims that he is working on a musical collaboration with Kevin Bahati’s wife, Diana Marua, stressing that no such project is currently planned.

Speaking when YouTuber 2mbili visited his Utawala mansion on Thursday, September 11, 2025, the ‘Wakudumu’ hitmaker explained that the speculations emerged without his knowledge, and insisted that he has not made any commitments regarding a partnership with the singer.

“No, there is nothing like that. If something like that exists, I do not know about it. I do not know if people are planning for me to have a collaboration, but they should tell me because I have not planned anything,” he said.

While he acknowledged that collaborations are possible, Patelo emphasised that they must align with multiple factors, including the artiste’s professionalism, creative vision, and ability to meet the demands of a successful project.

He made it clear that he would consider working with Diana only if she demonstrates that she is serious and capable of delivering the standards he expects.

“About whether I can do a collaboration with her, it depends on many things. We can do a collaboration, but you know I do not take things lightly. I do not just do things the way people want. However, if she is serious and proves that she is ready and capable, then we can work on a song together,” Patelo added.

Patelo highlighted his previous work, referencing collaborations with artistes such as Munga Domani, whose projects he said were carefully planned and executed.

He suggested that any future collaborations, whether local or international, will follow the same approach, prioritising artistes whose vibe and energy complement his own.

“Regarding Kenyan artistes, I can collaborate with any artist here at any time, but that question is complicated because in Kenya there are many artistes who are not serious. First, there are other songs we have already done, like the one with Munga Domani Mkadinali, which will be released soon,” he said.
