TikToker and Oga Obinna’s employee Pamela Aely came out to explain why she does not see it fit to bring her son to Nairobi at this particular time.

Speaking in a casual interview on Obinna TV, the TikToker stated that there are a number of reasons why she could not bring her son here to stay with her in Nairobi.

Top among the reasons, she explained that her job is very demanding and too unpredictable for her; she might not have time to afford the child the care that he requires at his age.

She added that she is also not capable of taking him to school in Nairobi, as she has been advised to wait until he is at least five years old.

“My son is still quite young, and while his father is interested in being involved now, I’m not ready for another baby yet. I want to wait about five years until he’s ten; I feel that’s the ideal age gap.

“People claim I’m avoiding bringing Elma to the city, but the reality is that my work here requires constant childcare. Since he isn’t old enough for the schools in Nairobi yet, I’ve been told it’s best to wait until he’s five before he joins me,” she said.

Second child?

On the subject of whether or not she was planning to have another child, she stated that she did not have any plans for now but would be open to the idea as time goes by. She mentioned that she was planning to wait until her son turns 10, as that would be a good time and age gap for her children.

Aely further stated that her son is loved at home and her parents enjoy his company.

“My dad and Elma have such a close bond, and he truly loves being with him. Because my life and work are so unpredictable – one day I’m at the stadium, the next I’m being called in by my boss – I decided it was better for him to stay with my mum. I don’t want people judging me or saying I’m neglecting him just because I’m busy working. Even though he’s at home, I make sure to provide everything they need,” she said.
