He noted that while many people inspire him from time to time, local musicians have had the biggest influence on his creative journey.

Watu wengi uni inspire saa zingine, ata nani huwa anani inspire most? Wasanii wengi hapa nje unibaba sana,” Sido said. “Me napenda watu local, siendangi nje.”

The TikToker singled out rapper King Kaka and hip-hop artiste Scar Mkadinali as his biggest role models, saying their consistency and authenticity continue to push him to work harder.

Watu kama King Kaka, Scar Mkadinali, watu kama hao uni inspire mbaya. Nikieza fika level kama wao, inaweza kuwa best sana,” he added.

Sido explained that seeing local artistes succeed while staying true to their roots gives him confidence that it is possible to grow in the industry without losing one’s identity.

Inside Sido’s journey

When asked to describe who Young Boy Sido is within the entertainment space, the content creator painted a picture of himself as a calm, focused and grounded individual.

Young Boy Sido ni ngwash tu mmoja mpolite, hana mambo mingi, kijana tu ametulia,” he said. “Anapiga mambo zake tatu, ametulia tu.”

He humorously added that among his peers, he sees himself as the one who keeps everyone in check, a trait that inspired his nickname Majority Whip.

Mimi ndio mkubwa wa kuwachapa, ndio maana najiita Majority Whip,” Sido remarked.

Reflecting on his journey, Sido revealed that his content creation path began with two close friends.

Together, they started with light-hearted skits, including the popular chorea chorea content, before his style gradually evolved.

Niliazanga hii mambo ya content na maboys wangu wawili… na wakati mambo ilibadilika ndio nilianza hii yangu ya Baradhuli,” he explained.

His remarks have resonated with many young creatives online, with fans praising him for highlighting local talent and staying authentic as his brand continues to grow.
