Shikie Kariuki says accident that left her hospitalised occurred at spot where Chira died

Speaking about her ordeal in a TikTok live on Saturday, April 11, 2026, Shikie disclosed that the accident left her with serious injuries that required hospitalisation and surgery.
She explained that doctors had to insert a metal implant to replace part of a damaged bone, highlighting the severity of her condition.
“I got into an accident at the same spot where Chira had an accident and died. I was taken to the hospital and stayed there,” she shared.
After being discharged from the hospital, she returned home to continue her recovery.
However, her situation worsened when she suffered another fall while in the shower, prompting an emergency hospital visit amid fears that the implanted metal may have been affected.
“After that, I went home, but yesterday I fell in the shower despite my injuries, so my partner had to rush me to the hospital for an emergency check-up,” Shikie narrated.
The TikToker attributed the series of challenges she is currently facing to the accident, describing it as the turning point that disrupted her life both physically and financially.
Shikie also addressed concerns raised online about her children, clarifying that she had temporarily placed them under someone else’s care due to her condition and inability to provide for them at the moment.
“After the accident, I was operated on, and a metal piece was put in place of a bone. I just hope it did not dislocate. That accident is the cause of all my problems. I also saw people asking if I gave away my kids,” she shared.
She further revealed the extent of her financial struggles, stating that her car had been auctioned and that she had also lost her house due to rent arrears. According to her, the accident left her without a stable source of income, making it difficult to keep up with her obligations.
“I had to let them stay with someone for some time because of the accident and the arrears I had. My car was auctioned, and my house was also auctioned; I do not have anything. I don’t have money,” she added.
