Shes Kemunto announces reunion with Iyanii after break-up
Media personality Shes Kemunto has confirmed that she and musician Iyanii are back together, a month after publicly announcing that their relationship had ended.
Kemunto revealed the reconciliation through a playful Instagram post on Sunday, March 8, 2026, joking about her earlier remarks that their relationship had come to an end.
“By the way, ni nani ule alisema contract iliisha? Nimepewa ingine ya mwisho… poleni kwa ingine,” she wrote, suggesting that their romance had been renewed despite the previous breakup.
In February, Kemunto said her relationship with Iyanii had ended after about four months of dating. Speaking in an interview at the time, she explained that the breakup was amicable and that the two had simply realised they had different interests.

Despite the separation, Kemunto maintained that the relationship had been a positive experience in her life. She described Iyanii as a good person and credited him with helping her grow and view relationships differently.
“Contract iliisha. We both had different interests. We had a good time. Friends, we hang out a lot, we had a good time dating, Iyanii and I, tulishindwa. One thing that I loved was the change in me that came with him. There were so many things that I didn’t know that I would change. He gave me a whole new perspective on relationships and life. He is a good person. I will give it a try again and again. But dating ilikataa,” she said at the time, adding that she appreciated the changes she experienced while being with him.
Kemunto also noted that the relationship had given her a new perspective on love and personal growth, even though it had not worked out then.
The couple’s romance had attracted significant attention online, especially after Kemunto previously urged Iyanii to marry her quickly. During a past interview, she said she expected their relationship to move toward marriage within six months.
