Savara teams up with Barnaba after Bien–Alikiba collab success

Multitalented musician Savara Mudigi has joined forces with Tanzanian star Barnaba Classic for a new music project, marking another major Kenya–Tanzania collaboration in the East African music scene.

Speaking while in Tanzania on Saturday, April 11, 2026, Savara revealed that the trip was centred on a meaningful project between the two artistes, including shooting a music video and finalising production.

Nimekuja bongo kwa sababu ya shuguli ya maana sana , niko na ndugu yangu anaitwa Barnaba tumefanya kazi safi sana na tumekuja kuwakilisha vizuri, tumekuja ku shoot video na kufanya matayarisho mazuri,” Savara revealed.

The artiste added that the collaboration aims to showcase unity and cultural respect between Kenya and Tanzania through music and visuals.

Savara on working with Barnaba

Savara also praised Barnaba, describing him as a respected and deeply rooted artiste in the region.

According to him, their shared musical values, including live instrumentation and authenticity, played a key role in bringing the collaboration to life.

Barnaba ni msanii yeye si kiki so am very honoured, tulikuwa tukisubiria hiyo kazi tumekuwa tukiongea kila wakati lakini imekuja ikafanyika natume fanikiwa sana kuja kufanya video yani ni tele tunashukuru sana.”

On his part, Barnaba confirmed that the two had been planning the project for a while and are now focused on delivering quality music to their fans.

“We have planned for so long, lakini tumefanya kazi mzuri sana ambayo kimsingi imetuleta hapa ni video na tuna na the highest director na tumejianda kuwapa watu mziki mzuri,” Barnaba said.

Barnaba added that their goal is not only to entertain but also to create music that resonates and leaves a lasting impact.

He further expressed excitement about the project, hinting that it could make a major impact once released.

“We are so happy and excited, and we are coming to shut down the internet kwa sababu hii siyo kitu ya mchezo mchezo,” Barnaba stated.

The collaboration comes shortly after Bien Aime Baraza teamed up with Ali Kiba, highlighting a growing trend of cross-border collaborations between Kenyan and Tanzanian artistes aimed at strengthening the East African music industry.
