Tanzanian gospel artiste Rose Muhando has denied reports that she secretly got married in Kenya to a pastor.

Addressing the claims directly, the Tanzanian gospel artiste dismissed the rumours linking her to Kenyan pastor Lumbasi and made it clear that there is no such marriage.

Rumours have been circulating online, claiming that the singer entered into a private marriage away from the public eye. When asked about the alleged secret union, Muhando firmly shut it down during an interview.

“Haya hamna. Sikiliza, mimi ni mtoto wa Mungu, mimi nimtumishi wa Mungu,” she stated.

She stressed that if something is true, she would speak about it openly.

She added that there was no hidden truth behind the reports.

“Chochote changu nakiweka wazi lakini ikiwa hakuna, hakuna, ehh,” she said, making it clear that the claims are false and should be ignored.

Clarifying her stand on marriage

The interviewer also asked about past prayers regarding marriage, specifically whether she had prayed to be married by a white man.

“Ulikua na maombi kuwa mzungu ndio akuje kukuoa,” the interviewer asked.

Muhando responded calmly, saying, “Si ndio hayo sasa tunayangoja. Mzungu bado hajapatikana.”

Her answer suggested that marriage is still something she is waiting for, but it has not happened yet.

These remarks come after Muhando previously revealed that she has never been married. She explained that despite public assumptions, she has raised her children on her own through faith and guidance from God.

She said many people question how she speaks strongly about marriage matters without personal experience. According to her, her confidence comes from her deep understanding of Scripture and her spiritual journey.

“The first thing many people do not know is that I have never been married, and they often wonder why I speak so much about married couples even though I am not married,” Muhando shared during an earlier interview.

She described herself as a serious student of the Bible. “I am a philosopher of the Bible, and I am a scholar of the Bible,” she said, explaining that her knowledge comes from lifelong study.
