Rish Kamunge claims men are the prize, says women go too far to attract them

TikToker and businesswoman Rish Kamunge has shared bold views on modern relationships, arguing that men are the prize and claiming many women go to extreme lengths in an effort to attract them.

Speaking in a TikTok video on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, Kamunge questioned the level of effort she believes some women invest in relationships, suggesting that the pressure to impress men has led to what she described as excessive and, at times, unnecessary sacrifices.

She pointed to practices such as heavy spending on beauty routines, cosmetic procedures, and even seeking spiritual interventions, saying these actions highlight how far some women are willing to go in pursuit of relationships. According to her, such efforts raise concerns about priorities and self-worth.

“Men are the prize. I know it will not sit well with you, but men are the prize. Have you seen the things women are doing to get money? I mean, some even go to witch doctors. Is it this serious?” Kamunge said.

Kamunge also criticised the idea of dedicating significant time to fasting and prayer specifically to find a partner, arguing that individuals should instead focus on broader personal goals and development.

She questioned whether relationships should take precedence over other aspects of life, especially when it involves extreme emotional or physical investment.

“You people are fasting and praying. You want to tell me that I can take a whole week fasting and praying so that God can give me a man? Don’t I have other things in life that I can pray for?” she added.

In her remarks, she contrasted this with what she described as a lack of similar effort from men, claiming she had not observed men going to the same lengths to secure relationships.

This, she said, reinforces her belief that the dynamic is unbalanced.

“I have not seen a man go to the extent women go to so they can get a woman,” Rish said.

The content creator further addressed beauty standards, noting that many women feel compelled to invest heavily in appearance, including makeup and surgical enhancements, to gain attention. She argued that this pressure contributes to unrealistic expectations and unnecessary competition.

“But we ladies, we cannot even leave the house without applying tonnes of makeup so men can see us. Literally we go through the knife for this,” she added.
