Pritty Vishy explains why she’s embarrassed to call Steve Simple Boy her ex
Digital content creator Purity Vishenwa, famously known as Pritty Vishy, has yet again opened up about her past relationship with rapper Steve Simple Boy, admitting that she is embarrassed to even call him her ex.
In a statement shared on her official Instagram account on Sunday, January 18, 2026, Vishy explained that she was ashamed to be associated with the rapper, adding that admitting they were romantically involved makes her feel embarrassed.

In addition, Vishy denied using their past relationship for fame and to gain social media followers, adding that her current influence and growth are from her own hard work and not Stevo’s popularity.
The content creator also said that if Stevo’s claim that she used his influence for her own gain were true, then his previous girlfriend should be famous too, as their relationship was also public.
“I used our relationship to bag followers azin btw si hadi pia Grace angefanya the same ama? yooh I worked to be the person I’m now,” she added.

This comes after the rapper poked holes at his ex-girlfriend, dismissing the celebrity tag often attached to her.
Speaking during an interview posted on Sunday, January 18, 2026, the singer laughed off the suggestion that Vishy is a celebrity, questioning what, in his view, qualifies her for such a title in Kenya’s entertainment space.
“Kwani Pritty ni celeb?” Stevo asked while laughing. “Celeb wa wapi? Ni kitu gani anafanya hapa Kenya mpaka useme huyu ni celeb?”
When the interviewer pointed out that Pritty Vishy is an actress and Stevo’s former girlfriend, the Freshibarida hitmaker remained unconvinced, suggesting that her public recognition stemmed mainly from their past relationship.
“Apart from Stevo Simple Boy, nini ingine unaeza sema unamjua useme huyu ni Pritty Vishy?” he posed.
Stevo further questioned comparisons between them, arguing that their levels of influence are not the same, especially online.
“Ukicompare mimi na yeye utaenda kwa nani? Nani akipost content unafurahia?” he added.
Rumours and reconciliation
The musician also dismissed rumours linked to their breakup, including claims that Vishy wanted him to father a child, calling the claims false.
“Wee kitu unaskia kwa mdomo wake jua hiyo ni uongo,” he said.
When asked whether he would consider reconciling with Vishy if she claimed to have changed, Stevo firmly ruled out the idea.
“Never, never over my dead body,” he stated, adding that she once had a chance to apologise but declined.
