Obinna admitted that ego played a big role during that period. He said both sides were trying to prove who was right, which only made the situation worse.

“There was a lot of ego at play. From the other side, from my side,” he explained.

He said the disagreements often turned into public fights. According to him, the conflicts would easily attract attention and prompt people to take sides.

“You are trying to flex, who can do what nini nini. And we would have these bad fights in the public space,” Obinna said.

Obinna added that the turning point came when he reflected on how the constant fights were affecting his child. That moment pushed him to change how he handled the situation.

“And later I came to realise that ..I sat down, and I said if I continue doing this, it is the child that is suffering,” he said.

He said he then made a decision to stop the conflicts and focus on what mattered most. According to him, the well-being of the child became his main priority.

“And I stopped fighting, and I decided to focus on the child and me,” he said.

Currently, Oga Obinna’s co-parenting journey appears to be smoother based on what he shares on social media. The media personality occasionally posts moments with his children online.
