Nurse Judy opens up on pain of distance from family in tearful message

On Saturday, January 24, 2026, she shared emotional words about distance and longing as she continues to live and work in the United States while her husband and children remain in Tanzania. She said the separation has weighed heavily on her heart.
She explained her emotions in a short message.
“Dear God, I have no words left, only tears on this paper,” she said.
She added that the distance has become difficult to carry.
“This distance is heavy on my soul,” she said, describing the emotional burden she feels daily.
Nurse Judy is a nurse living in the USA, while her husband and their two children, a daughter and a son, currently stay in Tanzania. She has previously shared how hard it is to be away from her family. She said she often finds herself thinking about moments they have shared.
She reflected on memories that still feel fresh despite the separation.
“I keep revisiting our memories and my heart still chooses to feel everything,” she said.
Her words showed how deeply the distance continues to affect her emotional state.
Life between two homes
During the last Christmas holiday, Nurse Judy travelled back to Kenya with her family. She and her husband toured Kenya together with their two children. The trip allowed them to spend time as a family before returning to their separate lives.
She explained that even joyful moments come with sadness because they do not last long. When it was time to return to the United States in the new year, she expressed sadness about leaving her family behind. She said goodbye was not easy.
Nurse Judy normally shares from time to time how much she misses her people. She has spoken openly about the emotional struggle of balancing her career in the USA and her family life in East Africa. She explained that the distance affects her deeply.
“Only tears,” she said, showing how overwhelmed she feels. She did not give answers, only feelings, as she shared her pain in simple words.
