Njambi Fever says moving to Nairobi would make her more money because opportunities are everywhere

Blogger Njambi Fever has said that moving to Nairobi would likely make her more money because the city offers many opportunities.

She explained that the capital is fast and competitive, with a strong flow of money, especially for people working in the social media space.

“You know the funny thing, if I were to move to Nairobi, I’d make so much money! Yaani, the opportunities in that town are very many,” she said through her Instagram page on Saturday, March 14, 2025.

Njambi explained that the nature of work in Nairobi creates many chances for people in digital media. According to her, the city moves quickly and rewards those who can keep up with its pace. She described Nairobi as a place where creators can grow their work and increase their income.

“Nairobi is fast, competitive and full of money flow (especially for people like me who work on social media),” she said, explaining why many digital creators see the city as a place with strong earning potential.

Despite recognising the opportunities available in Nairobi, Njambi said she has chosen to stay in Mombasa for personal reasons. She explained that the coastal city offers something she feels Nairobi does not provide.

Mombasa offers peace and space to breathe

Njambi said the environment in Mombasa gives her room to relax and maintain her mental well-being. According to her, the slower pace of life in the coastal city makes it easier to balance work and personal life.

“But Mombasa has something Nairobi doesn’t, space to breathe,” she said, describing the difference between the two cities.

She added that the environment in Mombasa plays an important role in protecting her mental health. While Nairobi may offer more opportunities, she believes peace of mind is just as important.

“The environment here protects my mental health. Mombasa has my heart,” she said.

Njambi explained that even though she recognises the financial opportunities in Nairobi, she is comfortable where she is. The creator said she would only consider moving if a major opportunity came up that was impossible to ignore.

“Unless I get a BIG opportunity elsewhere that’ll be too clear to ignore,” she said.
