Polish Kenya-based content creator Mzungu Fresh has shared an emotional account of a recent experience that left him questioning whether he still belongs in Kenya and how accepted he truly is after being robbed.

In a TikTok video on Sunday, December 21, 2025, Mzungu Fresh opened up about the incident, explaining that items were stolen from his home by someone he had trusted.

While he noted that the financial loss was not significant, he said the betrayal deeply affected him, describing it as a moment that made him reflect on his place, safety, and acceptance in the country he calls home.

Mzungu Fresh recounted the challenges he has faced in life, including losing his parents at the age of 16.

“Everything that I have is because of my work, because of what I’m doing in my life,” he said. He stressed that, contrary to assumptions about foreigners, his life has not been easy.

Trust and betrayal

He described how the theft, which included personal items such as perfumes valued around Ksh 20,000, left him feeling deeply hurt.

“It’s not about the money,” he said. “They stole just a part of my soul.” He reflected on the difficulty of extending trust to people in his environment and feeling let down by those he considered friends.

Despite his struggles, Mzungu Fresh said he has always tried to understand and blend into Kenyan culture.

“I was trying to help people, to be a nice person, and to understand completely different values,” he said. The incident, however, made him question his place and whether he truly belongs in the community he has embraced.

The content creator concluded by expressing feelings of isolation and disappointment, noting that the experience has left a lasting emotional impact.
