Mziza explains why he is vying for 2027 Pipeline MCA seat under UDA

Popular digital content creator Moje Sherrif, widely known as Mziza, has explained his reasons for contesting the 2027 Member of County Assembly (MCA) seat in Pipeline ward days after announcing his United Democratic Alliance (UDA).

Speaking during a live interview with Oga Obinna on Monday, February 9, 2026, Mziza cited a deep connection to his community and a desire to bring meaningful change as the main reasons for contesting.

He shared that although he was born in Kisii, he moved to Pipeline in 2004 when his father got a job there and that since then, Pipeline has been his home.

Manifesto

The father of one further revealed that his manifesto focuses on improving infrastructure and economic opportunities in Pipeline and transforming it from an estate to a city due to its population.

He highlighted challenges such as congestion, narrow roads and a lack of proper marketplaces for local traders.

His leadership

Mziza emphasised that he is approaching leadership differently, adding that he understands the struggles residents of Pipeline estate face because he has lived there and also faced them.

“I am a leader, not a politician, just a normal youth with a vision. I understand the struggle because I’ve lived it,” he added.

Additionally, he added that his goal was to come back, unite his people, and build together, and he asked if they were together and if they would support him

“My goal is to come back, unite my people, and build together. Are we together? Utanisupport?” Mziza added.

Mziza was among the party aspirants who attended the UDA meeting at State House on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
