Kenyan gospel musician and minister Peterson Ngetha Githinji, famously Pitson, has shared a deeply personal testimony about his children’s health journeys, recounting moments of struggle, prayer, and what he describes as divine healing.

Speaking during a church service at Karura Community Chapel, the singer said he has three children and introduced his wife and family as he narrated their experiences.

He revealed that his firstborn daughter was born with bow legs, a condition that led the family to seek medical attention.

According to him, the child has since recovered and now has straight legs, adding that she dreams of becoming a dancer when she grows up.

“I have three children, and this is my lovely wife, and this young lady is my firstborn, and she was born with bow legs,” Pitson disclosed.

“We took her to the hospital, and today she has straight legs and her dream when she grows up is to be a dancer.”

Son’s delayed speech

Pitson also spoke about his son, saying the boy was unable to speak until he was almost five years old and would often cry in a sharp voice.

He said the family faced many comments and concerns from others during that period, but remained hopeful.

“This boy could not speak until he was almost five years old; he could not speak, and he used to cry with a very sharp soprano. and many people told us many things,” he revealed.

“The Lord is good; today he can speak, and that is a testimony for us.”

Son’s different skin tone

The musician further shared the story of his youngest child, Gatho, who was born with a visible difference in skin tone on each side of his face.

He said doctors confirmed that the child’s internal organs were healthy and advised the family to allow him to grow naturally.

“The younger one, called Gatho, was born with one side of the face very light but one side very dark, the doctors told us all his organs are very okay and that we just let him grow like that,” Pitson said.

In addition, Pitson added that the family turned to prayer, concerned that the condition could affect the child’s confidence as he grew older.

According to him, the darker side of the face later cleared, leaving only a small mark, which he described as a reminder of what he believes is God’s healing power.

“We started praying; we knew that would cause a lot of inferiority complexes as he grew up, so we started praying,” he shared.

“Today, the dark side cleared but it left a little mark to remind us that there is God in heaven who answers prayers.”

His testimony serves as an inspiration for faith and gratitude.
