Murugi Munyi urges people to stop chasing inclusion and walk away

Content creator Murugi Munyi has urged people to stop chasing inclusion and instead walk away from spaces where they are not wanted.
She shared her thoughts on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, while reflecting on advice she heard, saying it is important for people to protect their peace. She explained that constantly trying to fit into spaces that reject you can lead to emotional stress.
Murugi Munyi said the message stood out to her because it speaks to real-life situations many people face. She explained that exclusion can happen in friendships, relationships, and even social groups. She added that how people respond to it matters.

“When people exclude you, remain excluded,” Murugi Munyi said.
She went on to explain that exclusion should not be seen as a challenge to prove oneself. She said trying harder to gain acceptance often leads to disappointment. She added that some people have already made their decision and will not change.
“It is not an invitation for you to work harder, try harder for them to now include you because they never will,” Murugi Munyi said.
Choosing spaces that value you
Murugi Munyi explained that people should instead focus on environments where they feel appreciated. She said it is healthier to be in spaces that offer support and respect. She added that self-worth should not be tied to being accepted everywhere.

According to Murugi Munyi, walking away can be difficult but necessary. She explained that holding on to spaces that exclude you can cause more harm over time. She added that choosing peace is more important than forcing connections.
“Save yourself the heartache and go and focus,” Murugi Munyi said.
The content creator further explained that people should seek places where they are valued. She said being around supportive individuals helps build confidence and stability. She added that everyone deserves to feel wanted.
“Be in a place where you are loved, where you are validated, celebrated, where you are wanted,” Murugi Munyi said.
Murugi Munyi maintained that letting go of rejection is a form of growth. She said it allows people to redirect their energy into better opportunities. She added that this mindset can lead to healthier relationships.
“Remain excluded from those other ones,” Murugi Munyi said.
