Mosiria shares update of man he helped get cured after years of suffering
By Ascah Mwango, March 2, 2026Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has shared an update on a young man who had been living with a medical condition for over four years and has now received proper treatment.
In a statement posted on his Instagram page on Monday, March 2, 2026, Mosiria said the young man visited his office two weeks ago to share his story.
“Do you remember this young man? He visited my office two weeks ago and shared his story with me. He had been living with a medical condition for over four years, moving from one hospital to another without finding a solution. The pain and frustration had taken a toll on him, and he simply wanted someone to listen and help,” Mosiria said.
After the story was shared online, a doctor reached out, and Mosiria connected the young man for treatment. He said the young man returned to his office recently to express his gratitude.
“Today, he came back to my office not to ask for help, but to say thank you. He told me he is now doing well, free from pain, and that the problem has finally been treated and cured,” Mosiria said.
Mosiria also noted that many people contacted the young man after his story was shared, saying they were suffering from the same condition but had never received treatment.
“This shows how powerful speaking up and helping one person can be – it opens doors for many others. Sometimes, all it takes is listening, connecting, and caring to change a life,” he added.
Two weeks ago, Mosiria had posted about the young man’s condition, explaining that he had been living in constant pain for over three years. He had moved from one hospital to another, spending large amounts of money on tests and medication without getting a clear diagnosis.
Doctors had recommended specialised tests to identify the root cause, but the young man had no funds and appealed to the public to raise Ksh100,000 for the tests and treatment.
At the time, he requested that his video be shared online so that anyone who had experienced a similar problem, any doctor who could help, or any well-wisher willing to support him could reach out.
