Mosiria seeks help to connect with DJ Evolve following Babu Owino’s revelation

By , May 4, 2026

Nairobi County Chief Officer for Citizen Engagement and Customer Service, Geoffrey Mosiria, has appealed for assistance in reaching out to Felix Orinda, popularly known as DJ Evolve, hours after Embakasi East Member of Parliament (MP) Babu Owino’s revelation.

Mosiria says the meet-up is part of efforts aimed at exploring long-term support and empowerment opportunities for the DJ, following the well-publicised shooting incident that left him with disabilities.

In a public appeal issued on Monday, May 4, 2026, he expressed interest in visiting DJ Evolve to better understand his current situation and identify practical ways he can be supported to rebuild his life and continue thriving, particularly through digital opportunities.

“I would like to pay a visit to DJ Evolve to explore ways we can support him, especially following the unfortunate shooting incident that left him with disabilities. Our focus would be on empowering him to rebuild and thrive, particularly by leveraging opportunities in the digital space,” Mosiria wrote.

“If anyone has his contact or can help facilitate a connection, I would greatly appreciate your assistance.”

Reason for support

According to Mosiria, the focus of the proposed support would be on helping DJ Evolve transition into the digital entertainment space, where he can continue pursuing his passion for DJing in a new and adaptive format.

One of the key ideas outlined is the establishment of an online DJ entertainment platform. This would allow DJ Evolve to perform virtually, connect with audiences, and maintain an active presence in the entertainment industry despite physical limitations.

In addition, he suggested the creation of a DJ academy where DJ Evolve could train and mentor upcoming DJs. The initiative, Mosiria noted, would not only provide him with a sustainable source of income but also enable him to pass on his skills and experience to the next generation of talent in the industry.

“We can support him in establishing an online DJ entertainment platform, enabling him to continue his passion and connect with audiences virtually,” he proposed.

“In addition, we can help set up a DJ academy where he can train and mentor upcoming DJs, creating a sustainable source of income while also nurturing young talent.”

Beyond career-focused support, Mosiria also highlighted the importance of comprehensive assistance in other areas of DJ Evolve’s life. This includes medical care, rehabilitation, and general well-being support to enhance his quality of life.

“Beyond this, there is room to support his medical care, rehabilitation, and overall well-being, as well as provide assistive technology and equipment that can enhance his productivity and independence,” he added.

Babu on DJ Evolve

Mosiria’s appeal comes after Babu Owino issued an update on DJ Evolve’s current health status, among other revelations.

Speaking during an interview, the lawmaker said that the DJ is about to walk again.

“DJ Evolve is talking, Miguna said he is not talking, he is talking the way we are talking,” Babu Owino stated.

“He [DJ Evolve] is eating, he is healed. The only thing remaining for DJ Evolve is to go through the physiotherapy process so that he can walk. But he is normal.”

According to Babu, DJ Evolve is now preparing for a phase of intensive physiotherapy with the ultimate goal of walking again, a milestone that would mark the final stage of a long and difficult rehabilitation process.
