Mood matatu revamps with IShowSpeed artwork ahead of Kenya trip
By William Muthama, January 10, 2026Popular matatu Mood has just received a fresh revamp, featuring vibrant artwork of global YouTube sensation IShowSpeed ahead of the streamer’s upcoming visit to Kenya.
Pictures and videos shared on Instagram show the newly upgraded matatu, including artwork of IShowSpeed and Ronaldo on the back, captured at the workshop where the vehicle was revamped.
Launched in 2025, Mood quickly became one of the most loved Nganyas in the city, drawing thousands of fans eager to witness its flair on the streets.

Owned by George Ruto, son of President Ruto, the matatu’s design has now changed from its previous artwork, which featured two women, to bold new graphics celebrating IShowSpeed.
The 20-year-old, IShowSpeed, is currently touring African countries and has already visited Angola, Zimbabwe, Eswatini, Zambia, Botswana, Mozambique, and South Africa.
IShowSpeed’s IRL content has accumulated billions of views, transforming him from a gaming streamer into a global entertainer.

Known for his love of Cristiano Ronaldo, emulating the iconic “Siuuu” celebration, his streams mix comedy, sports fandom, and high-octane energy, making him arguably the biggest streamer of his generation.
Kenya is among the 20 countries he plans to visit, alongside Algeria, Benin, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, and Zambia.
Though IShowSpeed has given details of his Kenyan trip, mentioning he plans to do a safari stream, it is highly likely that if he visits the streets, he will also sample Nairobi’s Nganya matatus.

Other notable matatus that could feature include Heartless, Dice, Brawl Out, Matrix, Money Fest, Opposite of Umoja, Moxie, Baba Yaga, and Delirium.
Matatu culture in Kenya has evolved into more than just a means of public transport; it’s a thriving ecosystem of art, music, design, and entrepreneurship.
