Suba North Member of Parliament (MP) Millie Odhiambo, also known as Bad Girl, has promised to invite a Gen Z who had publicly requested to spend time with her for a luncheon.

She added that she would be joined by two of her grandchildren, who are age mates with Obera, noting that their presence would help enhance communication.

The legislator also thanked the young man for his kind words, signalling that the engagement would be respectful and centred on mentorship rather than the romantic interpretations that had emerged on social media.

Her response followed a passionate appeal by Obera, who had publicly asked Millie to give him a chance to spend time with her.

In his message, the Gen Z expressed determination and persistence, saying he would not stop until she responded.

What Ken Obera told Millie Odhiambo

“Please, Millie, just give me a chance, don’t take it for granted. I will not give up until Millie responds to me in a good way. I am ready to say this even for not less than 15 years from now,” he wrote.

The exchange quickly attracted widespread attention online, triggering mixed reactions among Kenyans.

Some found the request bold and humorous, while others urged caution, emphasising respect, boundaries and the responsibilities that come with public office.

By addressing the matter publicly, Millie appeared to redirect the narrative towards guidance and constructive engagement, framing the meeting as an opportunity to discuss life goals, purpose and vision.

The MP noted that the lunch meeting would take place once the Parliament of Kenya resumes sittings, underlining that it would be conducted openly and appropriately.

It remains to be seen if the MP will fulfil the promise of meeting and sharing lunch with Ken Obera, who appears to have been admiring her leadership.
