MC Chris Kirubi counts his blessings after grisly road accident ahead of his birthday

In an emotional statement shared on Facebook on Monday, January 19, 2026, Kirubi revealed that the accident occurred after he had driven safely for more than an hour and was only a few minutes away from his residence when tragedy struck.
“DEATH IS MYSTERIOUS! I SAW 1 TODAY after safely driving for 1 hour, just 2 mins to my place. Pap devil came late,” he wrote.
According to the entertainer, a lorry hit his vehicle and fled the scene, triggering a collision with a pick-up and causing a double crash that involved several cars spinning on the road.
Kirubi described the incident as a stark reminder of how unpredictable life can be, saying death came close to claiming his life during his birth month.
He, however, credited God’s grace and mercy for his survival, noting that despite the violent impact, he emerged without physical injuries or fear.
“Whatever happened in the morning doesn’t count! But the grace and mercy of God saved me! Death wanted to take away my life on january, my birth month, but God !. I was knocked by a lorry, which brought a collision with a pick-up, but God controlled my car! am well _ prayers,” Chris further wrote.
The TikToker said that while the crash caused chaos on the road, what stood out most to him was the feeling that someone held the steering wheel and controlled the car at the most critical moment.
He admitted that he could not fully explain how he survived unscathed, insisting that divine intervention played a role in saving his life.
“Double crash! Several cars spin! But what i remember someone held the steering and controlled the car! I don’t know how I’m not even physically hurt or broken in fear! Saa hii mtandao ingekuwa top shota hayuko na ile wimbo ya, Ni how?? but God ni Nani,” he wrote.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Kirubi remarked that what happens earlier in the day does not matter when one’s life is spared, adding that the experience had given him yet another reason to be grateful.
He also used the moment to urge people to celebrate others while they are still alive, suggesting that life can change in an instant.
“It’s another lesson to celebrate people when they are alive – sasa ukikosa birthday yangu Sunday utaambia watu nini, and I got another reason to thank God!” he shared.
