Manzi Wa Mombasa asks Obinna to organise women’s boxing, says she is ready to fight
By Steve Ireri, May 14, 2026Social media personality Manzi Wa Mombasa has challenged media personality Oga Obinna to introduce a women’s edition of the now-popular “Vurugu Boxing” matches, saying she is fully prepared to participate.
Speaking in a Facebook video on Thursday, May 14, 2026, after the recent boxing showdown involving Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer, Manzi Wa Mombasa questioned why the upcoming “Vurugu Boxing Season 2” appears to only feature male participants despite growing public interest in the entertainment fights.
According to the TikToker, women should also be given an opportunity to participate in the boxing events, noting that there are many female personalities capable of creating entertaining matchups.
“I am asking this today because we all saw the Vurugu boxing match, which happened between Majembe and Mbavu Destroyer. And now I see Oga Obinna wants to bring Vurugu Boxing Season 2, but I have not seen any women there,” she said.
She further declared that she personally has no problem stepping into the ring and is ready to face any woman who believes she can challenge her in a boxing match.
Manzi Wa Mombasa added that she has always enjoyed confrontational challenges and competitive face-offs, making the proposed women’s boxing idea something she would gladly embrace.
“So I am asking Obinna, where is women’s Vurugu Boxing? Yet I am here and very ready to box someone. You know me, when it comes to anything involving fists and facing off with people, I am always interested,” she added.

The outspoken socialite then called on interested women to publicly express their willingness to fight her if Oga Obinna eventually launches a female edition of the boxing competition.
“Obinna, please do one for women, and I want those women who feel they have what it takes to box me to start speaking up,” Manzi Wa Mombasa said.
Was Manzi responsible for Marion’s TikTok ban?
Separately, the social media personality dismissed claims that she was responsible for the banning of Marion Naipei’s TikTok account amid the ongoing online drama between the two.
Speaking in a Facebook video on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, Manzi wa Mombasa said she was shocked to hear claims linking her to the reported ban, adding that she had no involvement in reporting or taking down Marion’s account.
“This is Manzi wa Mombasa. I was just minding my business in town, and then I suddenly started hearing people saying that I am the reason Marion’s account was banned,” she said.
She further denied claims that she leaked Marion Naipei’s private photos online, questioning why the two were still engaging in public back-and-forth exchanges despite previously parting ways.
According to Manzi wa Mombasa, the only account she previously managed for Marion was a Facebook account, explaining that Marion later took full control of it after they fell out.
“I also heard her claiming that I leaked her private photos online and many other things. Marion, please, why are we still going back and forth? When did I ever do that?” she added.
She clarified that she never had access to Marion’s TikTok account or videos, insisting that if she truly intended to push for a ban, she would have targeted the Facebook account she once managed instead.
Manzi wa Mombasa, however, suggested that Marion’s TikTok account may have been mass-reported by her fans after Marion interrupted one of her livestreams while she was defending herself online.
“The only account of yours that I was managing was the Facebook account and after we fell out, you took back your account. If I really wanted to push for a ban, I would have pushed for the Facebook account because that is the one I had access to, not TikTok. I do not even have access to your videos,” she explained.
