Lydia Wanjiru calls out fraudsters exploiting her name online
Content creator Lydia Wanjiru has warned individuals misusing her name online for fraud, saying she will take action against them.
In a post on Monday, March 23, 2026, she made it clear that while she ignores gossip, she will not tolerate people using her identity to steal. She stressed that her name and brand represent years of hard work and must be protected.

She explained that false narratives and online talk do not bother her, but fraud crosses the line. She said she has built her reputation over time and will not allow others to damage it for personal gain. She added that her professional relationships are based on trust and proof of her work.
“It’s one thing for gossip blogs to pick on me and run with a narrative for views & to satisfy their idle tea drinkers. I don’t care. But to use my name to steal? Nope, I’ll come all gun blazing on you,” Lydia Wanjiru said.
Lydia says brand built over time must be protected
“LYDIA WANJIRU IS A BRAND, a registered company that I’ve built brick by brick. I’ve endured through trolls, bullying, false allegations and harassment,” she said.
She explained that people may have their own opinions about her, but she does not feel the need to respond to every claim. She said she chooses to focus on what matters and lets her work speak for itself. She added that not every rumour deserves her attention.
“Through that, some have a narrative of who they think I am. I care less to clear rumours,” she said.
She warned that theft is something she strongly opposes and will act against without hesitation. She said her partnerships with brands have lasted because of trust and honesty. She explained that any attempt to misuse her name for fraud will be challenged.
“But there are things I detest, one of them being theft. I have brands I’ve worked with for years. If I didn’t have my legitimacy, they’d have cancelled their partnership with me a long time ago. Whatever you do, keep my name out of your dirty dealings,” she said.
