Kenyan cross-dresser, digital content creator and influencer Kelvin Kinuthia has opened up about plans to change the name on his Identification Card (ID).

In a video shared on his official social media account on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, Kinuthia explained that he is tired of the reactions he receives whenever he presents his ID.

He admitted that the constant questioning has become exhausting.

According to him, whenever he produces his identification card, people often react with disbelief, adding that some even make him feel like he may have stolen someone else’s ID.

Nikama tutabadilisha jina za ID, juu weeeh, guys am suffering, mimi nataka munisaidie, nani anajua kwenye naweza enda kubadilishia ID kwa sababu huku unapeana ID alafu mtu anakuuliza, na yako iko wapi?’ hadi unashanga,” Kinuthia revealed.

I think I should just go and get my ID changed, kama kuna mtu anajua vile nitabadilisha hiyo ID munipe connections.Karibu waseme nimeiba ID ya mtu. Iam tired of explaining myself.”

Name suggestion

Kinuthia, who is mostly seen in feminine looks, from hair and makeup to nails and outfits, said the mismatch between his appearance and his official name often sparks confusion.

He revealed that he is seriously considering changing the name on his ID and even asked his followers to suggest suitable names.

Niite just a name, niipatie jina gani? Ebu Mnitapitieni jina,” he appealed.

Uterus transplant

This comes months after the influencer revealed plans to undergo a uterus transplant surgery.

In a statement on Instagram on Monday, September 8, 2025, Kinuthia hinted that while many aspects of his life are public, some details remain private, including his upcoming medical procedure.

“Life is so private; no one knows I’m getting a UTX surgery soon,” he shared.

Laser hair removal

In addition to a uterus transplant, he revealed the reasons why he chose to undergo laser hair removal to do away with his beard.

“I’m started my laser hair removal journey, yaani in short, nataka kumalizana na ndevu zangu. Nakuanga nikizinyoa, that is why you don’t see them, and sometimes I post photos with makeup. Ukijinyoa nyumbani is not as clean as kwa barbershop. Sometimes huwa naloose psyche ya kufanya content because I feel I am looking bad,” Kinuthia revealed.

“Another reason sitaki kuenda barbershop juu iyo time hukua awkward. Unabaki umepewa side-eye look, they wonder why huyu amekam na wig ako na braids, amekam kinyozi kufanya. That was kitambo, but sai ata sijali,” he added.
