The meeting turned into a friendship which continues to stand strong, with the duo pursuing their dreams and supporting each other while at it.

“18 years ago when my feet stepped in Nairobi city, I met a young, vibrant, busy and hardworking lady. Those days in Simba Centre, we got a chance to bond, and in her, I found a good friend, her name is none other than Charity Waruinu Celeb,” Kiengei said.

He shared that her entry into music made him an instant fan, with one of her songs becoming his favourite.

“Charity is one of the ladies who can crack you up through her jovial lifestyle, and in the life process, she began her musical career with one of her songs being my favourite “UKAI MUIGUE RUGANO RWAKE” he said.

After years of friendship, Kiengei stated that the singer is a resilient person who does not give up easily, as she has always bounced back amid the challenges that came her way.

“One thing about Warùinù is that she doesn’t give up easily. You push her today, tomorrow she is back on her feet. She has a unique, jovial heart. Yesterday I was honoured to join Artists, Clergy, family and her friends as she launched her new song,” he added.

The gospel singer launched her latest song on Sunday, March 8, 2026, in a star-studded event that was graced by a host of Gikuyu celebrities.
