Death in India
Ben’s death was mourned by a host of celebrities and social media personalities who were planning to visit the family on Tuesday, February 2, 2026.
He, however, breathed his last on February 1, 2026before the planned visit could materialise.
The minor had been admitted to a hospital in India, where he succumbed while undergoing treatment.

Kikuyu comedy sensation Brian Muiruri Kinuthia, popularly known as Kufai, mourned the deceased, revealing that he was among those who had plans of visiting the family.
“Its with heavy hearts that we inform u of the passing on of our beloved Ben Kiratu on 01/02/2026 at around 3 pm at Max Hospital in India,” Kufai stated.
“Tulipanga na Karangu Muraya and some friends tulikuwa twende kwa akina Ben kesho on Tuesday but God has done his will ….na vile tulikuwa tumepanga we will still go and support that family.
This loosely translates to: We had arranged with Karangu Muraya and a few friends to visit Ben’s place but God has done his will… nevertheless, we were ready and will still go and support that family”.
Appeal for support
He appealed for support from well-wishers to help the family clear the hospital bill and bring the body back home.
“We therefore request friends of goodwill and family to help us in mobilising funds to enable us to clear the hospital bill, repatriate the remains back home, and give him a befitting send-off. Be blessed as you purpose to assist. RIP BEN,” Kufai added.
