Joyce Gituro reacts to Trisha Khalid’s warning to women about dating Luo men
By Paulette Mboga, December 9, 2025Media personality Joyce Gituro has reacted to a video of actress Trisha Khalid warning women about dating Luo men.
In the short clip, shared by Joyce on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, Trisha spoke strongly about the experience, saying women who have never dated Luo men should not claim they have been through a lot.

Joyce shared the video with the caption, “Wueeeeh, I leave this here! Good evening, my people,” a reaction that suggested she related to the message.

Trisha said, “Kama kwa cv yako hujawai ku indicate ushawai date a luo man, usiwahi sema you have been through a lot, you have not.”
She went on adding that anyone who has never dated one does not understand what “a lot” really means. She also warned women to take it slow, saying, “Tulia hapo mama, tulia wakupange. Tulia wakuvunje mpaka figo, pua, mdomo.”
Midpoint reaction from Joyce
Joyce did not go into details, but her simple caption, “Wueeeeh, I leave this here,” raised questions on whether she had experienced what Trisha was talking about. Her tone made it seem like she was backing the message without directly saying so. Trisha also joked that dating a Luo man should qualify as a survival skill, saying, “Sijui kwa nini hawajaweka hiyo in a thousand ways to die.”

In Kenya, Luo men are known for being warm, expressive and romantic, but at the same time, they have a reputation for breaking hearts. This is the reason Trisha insisted that dating them is not for the faint-hearted. She told women who have never dated one to sit still and not compare their experiences to things they have never gone through, especially when it comes to matters of love.
Joyce’s decision to share the video showed that she found the message striking enough to pass on. Her words, “Good evening, my people,” came across as a sign that she wanted her followers to interpret the message on their own. She left room for people to reflect on the meaning behind her reaction.
