Jamaican dancehall icon Spice has been left emotional after Tanzanian star Harmonize made a surprise appearance and performed for free during her concert in Uganda.

Speaking during the event held on the night of Saturday, May 9, 2026, Spice revealed that she initially did not believe Harmonize when he informed her that he would be attending the concert, noting that she had not made any payment or arrangement for his performance.

She explained that the Bongo Flava star personally reached out to her and confirmed that he would be coming to support the show, a claim she initially dismissed due to the unexpected nature of the offer.

According to Spice, Harmonize went beyond expectations by not only attending but also taking to the stage and delivering a performance without requesting any payment, a gesture she described as deeply selfless.

“First of all, I didn’t believe him when he told me he was coming to my concert here in Uganda. I was like, how? I didn’t even pay him or give him any money, so I thought it was not serious. But he really showed up,” Spice said.

The singer expressed her admiration for Harmonize, praising him for his love and support towards fans, and noting that his actions reflected genuine appreciation for the audience and the music community.

Spice further shared that the surprise appearance added great energy to the concert, with fans reacting enthusiastically as Harmonize performed on stage.

“Harmonize loves you all so much. He even texted me and said ‘I am coming,’ and still I didn’t believe it. He is here for free, and we appreciate him so much,” she said.

She thanked the Tanzanian artiste publicly during the show, acknowledging his contribution and calling him a true supporter of African music unity.

“Big up to Harmonize, we love you and I love you so much,” Spice added.

What did Spice promise to a kind Ugandan waiter?

At the start of her Ugandan trip, the ‘So Mi Like It’ crooner offered to relocate a Ugandan waiter to the United States after being impressed by his service.

In a video shared on TikTok on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, and which has since gone viral online, the singer is seen interacting warmly with the waiter identified as Lawrence while inside her hotel room.

During the interaction, Spice first asked the waiter whether he had a US visa, to which he responded that he did not have one.

The artiste then encouraged him to begin making efforts to acquire the visa, explaining that she wanted to take him back with her to America.

“Do you have a US visa? So you never got one? But can you make efforts and get one so I can take you with me back to America? You look into it,” Spice said.

She further told him that she would take his phone number so she could personally follow up on the process and communication regarding the possible relocation opportunity.

“I will then take your number so I can follow up, so you can come and live with me in the USA,” she added.

Spice went on to tell the waiter that she had particularly liked his service and did not want anyone else attending to her in the room apart from him.

She instructed him to inform the hotel management that she specifically wanted him to continue serving her until the day she leaves the country.

“First, I don’t want anyone serving me in my room apart from you. I have liked you, so tell the management that I have requested you to serve me until I leave,” she stated.

The dancehall artiste then handed Lawrence a $100 tip, explaining that she hoped the amount was enough because she was unfamiliar with the local currency exchange rates.

Throughout the interaction, Spice repeatedly thanked the waiter for his hospitality and professionalism, with the two sharing light moments as she expressed admiration for his conduct.

“And now let me give you this 100 USD for a tip. I hope it’s enough. I just wanted to make sure it’s enough for a tip because I don’t understand the currency over here, but thank you so much,” Spice said.
