‘I’ve heard you’ – Esther Passaris accepts request from man who asked her out

Kennedy was spotted holding a placard in the streets of Nairobi CBD declaring that he would like to take Passaris out for dinner, saying he was eager to meet her.
In a playful twist, instead of dinner, Passaris took to her official social media accounts on Friday, March 13, 2026, and suggested they meet for lunch, turning Kennedy’s bold public request into a light-hearted moment of engagement.
According to the Woman Representative, Kennedy, who works at a construction site, said that she is one woman he would like to meet.
“This lovely young man, Kennedy Arnold, who currently works on a construction site, was spotted holding a placard saying he would love to take me out for dinner. Kennedy says I’m one woman he would really like to meet,” Passaris wrote.
“Well, Kennedy, I’ve heard you! Instead of dinner, I say let’s do lunch.”
In addition, Passaris said she was eager to hear his views on leadership, service, and the city’s future.
“I would love to hear what you have to say about leadership, service, and the future of our city,” she added, highlighting her interest in engaging with citizens on meaningful conversations beyond the viral moment.
Passaris to Nairobians
She then turned to Nairobi residents for input, asking them where she should take the young man to have lunch and what they thought Kennedy wanted to tell her.
“So, Nairobi, munaonaje? Where should I take Kennedy for lunch? And what do you think he has to tell me?” she stated.

Kennedy went viral after holding up a handwritten manila placard addressed to Passaris.
He politely asked Passaris for the chance to meet her for dinner at her convenience, saying it would mean a lot to him, and included his contact details.
