‘It is not a prank’ – Content creator Trophy Kiprono declares parliamentary bid
Content creator and trainer Trophy Kiprono has opened another chapter in her life, announcing that she will be contesting for the Moiben Member of Parliament seat in the 2026 elections.
In a video posted on her Facebook account on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, Kiprono emphasised that she is solidly in the race with the intention of providing better leadership to Kenyans if elected.
The social media personality noted that, contrary to the common belief that politics is for a few who are well-connected with deep pockets, her entry is fuelled by passion for leadership and the wind of change blowing across the globe.
“When I declared my interest to run for Member of Parliament for Moiben, a lot of people thought it was a prank, and that is because we have always believed politics to be a reserve for a few. But I believe it is time for a change,” she declared.

Her vow if elected
The trainer assured Kenyans that if successful in her bid, she will be on the frontline proposing and enacting policies to serve all.
“If given this chance, other like-minded individuals and I will propose and enact policies that actually serve common mwananchi, not selfish interests,” she stated.
According to Kiprono, the time is ripe for the youth to offer themselves for leadership in the country, adding that she can be counted on to deliver.
“As you have observed the geopolitics of the world, you’ve realised there is change, and change is here. I believe it’s time more youths join politics. You can count on me to propose policies that serve everyone. I am talking about equity, transparency and accountability,” she added.
Young Kenyans join the race
Kiprono, who is also a public speaking trainer and life coach, joins a growing list of young Kenyans who have offered themselves for leadership as the youth seek to rewrite the script in the country.

Renowned comedian Eric Omondi is also among those whose names have been floated with a recent endorsement from a young woman who backed him for the Lang’ata Parliamentary seat, currently held by Jalang’o.
