IShowSpeed reaches historic 1.9M live viewers while streaming in the Dominican Republic

This happened on Thursday, May 7, 2026, where just minutes after starting the stream, a staggering 1.1 million fans had already joined the broadcast, instantly shattering his previous record for the highest number of people to ever tune into his livestream simultaneously.
In the video, which is still available on his YouTube channel, the 21-year-old streamer is seen jumping in excitement and saying he could not believe he had broken the record in a small Caribbean country like the Dominican Republic.
“Oh, I can’t believe it. We have 1 million people in the chat. One million viewers is crazy. Shout out to the Dominican Republic,” he said.
At that point, Speed, who never expected such a reception, was overwhelmed with emotion and is seen in the video hugging his bodyguard Rudi while wiping away tears.
Rudi, in turn, gave him a warm embrace but urged him to regain his composure so the stream could continue.
“It’s okay, bro, go on. You may go on, it’s okay,” Rudi said to the streamer.
As if the online numbers were not enough, the excitement also translated physically as thousands of citizens from the island nation flooded the streets, trailing his convoy in massive crowds, while others rode motorbikes in an attempt to catch a glimpse of him.
By the time the stream reached around four hours, the number of people watching live had already climbed to 1.6 million, and Speed kept reacting emotionally, saying he was setting a completely new record.
At that moment, he was standing on top of a car and appeared lost for words after one of his team members showed him the number of people who were still following the livestream.
“Are you serious right now? 1.6 million, wow,” he said.
Amid the stream, Speed also encountered fellow streamer Fanum, who was also in the Dominican Republic, and the two even toured several places together, causing even more followers to flood the streets as they chased after them.
The stream was largely successful and energetic, but, akin to many other countries he has visited, it was not without moments of chaos.
At one point, a male fan who was dressed like a woman suddenly hopped into a van Speed was travelling in and attempted to kiss him.
The act briefly caused a commotion as Speed’s bodyguards rushed to restrain the man while he continued struggling in an attempt to plant a smooch on the popular streamer.
