Inside Mulamwah’s explosive 2025 scandals and celebrity beefs

By , December 9, 2025

2025 has been a dramatic year for Digital content creator and comedian David Oyando, widely known as Mulamwah, a man who has never shied away from controversy and sometimes even seems to walk straight into it.

From a messy online breakup to fallouts with fellow celebrities, Mulamwah has dominated Kenya’s gossip trends and social media timelines more than many musicians with new albums.

Beefs

2025 saw Mulamwah clash with a few creators and block them, including Oga Obinna and Dem Wa Facebook, whom he accused of laughing and discussing a fan’s comment about his son on their previous Weekly show, which did not please him.

Mwenye alikunia kwa barabara husahau, lakini mwenye alikanyaga hatawai sahau.Tofali ulikulia hapa,” Mulamwah explained.

Apart from Obinna, comedian Dem wa Facebook, dancehall musician David Long’oji Ekiru, widely known as Dufla Diligon, digital content creators Nicholas Kioko, Wambo Ashley and Commentator also disclosed that they were blocked by Mulamwah.

Relationship drama

As if the online beefs were not enough, Mulamwah’s love life once again found its way into the spotlight after a messy separation.

He and his former lover, Ruth K  engaged in bitter online altercations, which were triggered by Ruth’s claims that she has been enduring disrespect from the comedian after their bitter separation.

“Sometimes silence is taken for granted. It’s been barely three months since the breakup, and I’ve faced disrespect in ways you wouldn’t even imagine in public and worse in private,” she lamented.

In addition to disrespect, the digital content creator also accused him of reversing the money he sent to her and promised her fans that she would give her account of the story one day.

“I’m trying to heal, gather myself emotionally, but it’s draining. You send Ksh5000 and reverse it, then have the nerve to screenshot a photo I put so much effort into? The audacity is loud. Enough is enough. I take my respect back. One day I will tell my story,” she declared.

In his defense, Mulamwah blamed Ruth for their breakup, stating that her friends influenced her decision to end things.

“It was a nice ride, young lady. Don’t cry wolf. You broke your own home with your two hands. I warned you of the so-called friends; now see… You never listened; you kept following their advice until they helped you move out of home to Ruaka because of their jealousy of your home, family, and achievements,” he stated.

The former radio host also lamented how his ex-lover was being disrespectful to his parents.

“I gave you some deals and a name online; you got money and became proud; you disrespected me and my parents as well. You are staying under my shelter, yet you are buying your household items. A day came; you found reasons for you to leave me and left,” he lamented.

During the back and forth, the comedian shared nude photos online, which many believed to be those of his ex-lover; however, he denied it.

Despite the controversies, Mulamwah has maintained online relevance, his content has kept racking up millions of views, and his brand partnerships have stayed intact.
