Gloria Ntazola explains why women should avoid having children with Luhya men

By , January 7, 2026

Social media personality Gloria Ntazola has advised women against having children with Luhya men.

Speaking on TikTok on January 5, 2026, Ntazola claimed that many young Luhya men are unwilling to work hard and instead prefer an easy life.

She alleged that they rely on others financially and lack the drive needed to provide for families.

However, she insisted that this did not apply to all Luhya men but said she believed the behaviour was common among many.

“Vijana wengi waluhya are lazy na wanapenda kukula ugali ukubwa na nyama, and they cannot just go to work like everybody else. Change your behaviour, nani bado anakula ugalin kila siku,” she said.

“Please don’t give birth to the Luhya guys, trust me, they are poor, they don’t like working hard, and they are so lazy. Not all of them, but most of them. They just want to sit.”

This came hours after Ntazola had urged young people to avoid unplanned pregnancies in a tough economic climate by embracing family planning.

In a video on Monday, January 5, 2026, Ntazola emphasised the importance of using contraception and condoms, arguing that many parents struggle unnecessarily due to poor planning.

“Take family planning seriously. Use contraceptives, wear condoms. It’s 2026, and nobody has extra money to take care of responsibilities that could have been avoided. Don’t put yourself in a situation where you’re struggling and asking others for help because of choices you could have planned better,” she said.

Ntazola questioned why some people choose to have children when they are already struggling to take care of themselves, noting that the cost of living continues to rise and parenting requires long-term commitment.

“Why did you get pregnant, and you can barely take care of yourself. Go and do family planning. It’s the poor people who want to give birth to kids.  Wewe si panya,” she added.
