Blankets and Wine June 2026 edition

This year’s June edition will feature a strong mix of regional talent, with artistes such as Mejja, Mutoriah, Serro and Watendawili expected to take to the live stage that will run inside the main arena.

While Goldmax, Hiribae, DJ IV, LA Dave, Suraj and Sir M are expected to perform on the Onja Onja stage.

Why indoor event

The organisers have confirmed a key change to this edition: the event will be held indoors.

According to Blankets and Wine‘s organisers, the decision follows close monitoring of weather patterns ahead of production week, with forecasts indicating possible heavy rains linked to El Niño conditions.

They explained that moving the festival indoors is aimed at ensuring the overall experience is not compromised while prioritising the safety and comfort of fans, artists and production teams.

“We’ve been tracking the weather and the variables around production week. Moving indoors ensures the Blankets experience we plan to deliver is not compromised and everyone attending including you, our artists and production teams are considered,” the organisers of Blankets and Wine stated.

The organisers further clarified that the indoor setup is only specific to the June 7 edition and does not represent a permanent change to the festival format.

“This is specific to the June 7 edition because of the current weather patterns and anticipated El Niño rains. Blankets & Wine is an outdoor festival at heart,” the organisers of Blankets and Wine added.

The organisers further said that Blankets and Wine remains an outdoor festival at its core, adding that the adjustment is intended to ensure the signature experience continues “come rain or shine”.

“This indoor format is our way of making sure we deliver a Blankets experience come rain or shine time, this time,we’re choosing shine,” they added.
