Eve Mungai slams her body transformation critics
By Cynthia Lodite, January 17, 2026Digital content creator Eve Mungai has opened up about critics hitting on her following her recent body transformation.
Taking to her Instagram account on Saturday, January 17, 2026, Eve explained her struggle to gain weight while slamming critics who ask her to go back to her previous weight.
“You do not get to choose what version of me you like; you will prefer whatever body I decide to have because this is my world, not yours,” Mungai said.
She further added, “And if that bothers you, that’s your problem and not mine.”

Weight gain journey
Her remarks come just weeks after she opened up about her fitness journey, sharing a candid update on her body confidence and gym routine.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, December 11, 2025, Eve revealed that she has been hitting the gym consistently for the past three months.
“This is the 3rd month now; I started on October 6th, and I love it here. Current weight is 62kgs — the heaviest I have ever been — but yeah, I wouldn’t want to lose or gain,” she wrote, accompanying the post with a gym selfie.
The update comes amid Eve’s lengthy hiatus from content creation. The YouTuber had been largely absent from her channel for eight months, sparking speculation among fans.
In August, Eve opened up about the reasons behind her break.
Speaking during a question-and-answer session with fans on August 25, 2025, she revealed that after five years of relentless vlogging, burnout, a loss of creative control, and personal challenges had compelled her to step away at the height of her career.
“After five years of the same routine, I finally got tired! I realised I had lost myself chasing the bag, chasing people’s dreams and not my own. I took some time off to rediscover Eve, to figure out what I truly love,” she explained.
The content creator admitted that the hiatus was about reclaiming her identity and charting a new path forward, rather than just returning to the spotlight for the sake of fame or financial gain.
“One thing’s for sure, I belong on the screens. The comeback is personal this time. Because life is so much more than burnout and just making money,” she added.
