Eric Omondi seeks help tracing young girls hawking milk in rain amid floods in Nairobi
By Charles Ouma, March 11, 2026Comedian Eric Omondi has sought help in tracing two young girls who were recorded on video braving a heavy downpour to hawk milk in Nairobi amid the ongoing flash floods occasioned by the rains.
The two girls took turns standing next to the milk, braving the rain to not only guard the milk in the open but also be available for any customer.
As one stood next to the milk, the other took cover before switching turns as they hustled hard to support their family amid harsh economic times.
A flooded section of open ground can be seen in the video, with the two girls having nothing to provide cover as the rain continued.

Painting a clearer picture of their plight, a voice in the video can be heard explaining that the two girls braved the rains to make sales, as failing to do so would leave them with stock that would go bad, translating to losses.
Dilemma faced by the two girls
The narrator further explained that leaving the milk in the rain to go and shelter could see their stock stolen, sinking the family into more destitution, while failing to be available to make sales would see them left with stock getting closer to spoilage.
The video caught the attention of the philanthropist, who issued a brief statement signalling his intention to intervene.
Omondi sought help in tracing the two minors who were selling milk in the Bombolulu area of Kibera.
“Nisaidieni kupata Hawa tafadhali,” Omondi stated.
This loosely translates to: Please assist me in getting them.
