DJ Xclusive proposes to long-term lover Sharlet Mshai

Radio presenter DJ Xclusive proposed to the love of his life, his girlfriend, Sharlet Mshai, this January 2026.
In a now viral video on social media, the DJ is seen going down on one knee in what appears to be a proposal to be remembered.
The proposal, widely reported to have taken place in Dubai, attracted reactions from many across the internet who expressed their views while congratulating the DJ on this milestone.
“Congratulations Bazuu. Ficheni hizi picha kabla yule mzee wa nyahunyo azione” Rapper, King Kaka posted.
Despite his reputation for outspoken commentary on romance and marriage, DJ Xclusive has managed to keep his own private life out of the spotlight. He recently addressed the “kutuma fare” phenomenon, criticising women who treat dating as a financial negotiation.
“This discussion ya mambo ya kutuma fare. We need to stop making relationship transactions. If you are a lady and I am asking you to come and see me, I am hoping pia wewe unataka kuniona,” he said on September 8, 2025.
Cryptic post
The surfacing of this video comes after the DJ posted a cryptic image of a lady’s hand with a ring placed on someone’s shoulder with the caption “Life Update”, which sparked rumours that had not been confirmed till now.
On his cryptic post, many joined in to send congratulatory messages despite not knowing the real nature or explanation behind the photo.
In addition to extending her well-wishes, Mwalimu Rachel humorously requested further information from the media figure.
“Congratulations!!!! Uliza shemeji Kama ako na older brother wa takriban miaka 50 hivi 🤣😂 Thanks 🙏🏾” Mwalimu Rachel wrote.
“Na mkiongea hapa jueni najua ex’s wake WOTE. Ukija na fake vibes nakumulika! Aunty wa keki 🎂 mimi sina jokes 😂🤣😂😂😂😂😂” she added.
By welcoming Xclusive into a new “circle,” Mike Mondo’s comment strongly suggested that a major milestone, possibly an engagement or wedding, had taken place.
“Karibu Sana katika chama chetu. Hapa napo kilo utaongeza, maisha kituristi🔥🔥🔥” Mondo wrote.
